OneFootball and CazeTV partner up to target young demographics

CazeTV has launched a short-form video content channel on the OneFootball platform that includes highlights and clips.

CazeTV, the Brazilian sports streaming channel run by streamer Casemiro Miguel, has secured a new partnership with digital content platform and OTT service OneFootball to aid the pair’s continued growth aims.

Going forward, the CazeTV content channel on the OneFootball platform will host highlights, video clips, and more ancillary content from CazeTV broadcasts and its slate of soccer rights in Brazil.

This includes coverage of the continental Conmebol Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana club competitions, and the top-flight domestic leagues of major European powerhouses such as Germany, Italy, and Spain, and of course Brazilian domestic competition, among others.

The short-form video channel will be focused towards the younger, “digital native” demographic, and will be offered both in landscape and portrait view to support the mobile phone consumption habits of that consumer segment.

Speaking on the deal, OneFootball chief operating officer Mauritz Schön commented: “This new channel represents the best of both platforms — blending CazéTV’s raw energy with OneFootball’s immersive matchday experience.”

Yannick Ramcke, OneFootball’s general manager for the OTT platform, added: “This short-form video experience of live matches in a pure-football environment is complementing their current platform mix, and exactly the kind of innovative, technology-driven collaboration we aim to build — directly addressing the expectations of the new generation of fans.”

Schön and Ramcke both spoke to Sportcal in 2024 to discuss the boom in direct-to-consumer streaming content and how OneFootball aids rightsholders.

At the time, Ramcke said: “[Sports properties] normally have the trade-off between reach and revenue. What we are doing and facilitating is that more leagues are facing challenging market environments, so the opportunity cost for them to [go direct-to-consumer] has come down, so they're more willing to take a short-term hit on the revenues to do baby steps when it comes to direct-to-consumer (DTC) ambitions.

For CazeTV’s part, last month, the streamer added Italy's Serie A to its soccer portfolio last month for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Last month, meanwhile, it snapped up rights to show all 104 matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup national teams tournament.

CazeTV also covered action from the 2022 FIFA World Cup, its first major rights deal after launching that same year.

Since launching in late 2022, CazeTV has shown action from some of the most high-profile sporting events worldwide, including the Paris Olympic Games last year, as well as NFL American football games played internationally.
