Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), perennial champions from French soccer's top-tier Ligue 1, have struck a major new commercial deal with technology search engine giant Google through 2029.

Through the deal, the Google Gemini artificial intelligence brand becomes the Parisian club's official AI assistant, while the Google Pixel product becomes the Ligue 1 champions' official smartphone.

The Google Gemini element of the deal is aimed at helping PSG's internal communications and marketing teams develop engaging content, while the Google Pixel product will be used to "capture and share the emotion of the game."

In addition, a specific 'Google space' will be introduced at the club's Parc des Princes home stadium, with a focus on providing guests with the chance to view Google's range of AI products and solutions.

As well as this, a number of departments across PSG's operations will now be integrating Google technologies into their workflows.

Richard Heaselgrave, PSG's chief revenue officer, commented: "By combining Google's technological expertise with the global strength of the Paris Saint-Germain brand, we will explore new ways to create, innovate, and express our Parisian identity through content that resonates with fans around the world."

In terms of recent PSG commercial activity, mid-July saw the Parisian heavyweights announce a new partnership with Chinese electric car brand BYD through June 2029.

The partnership will be activated through global campaigns, exclusive content featuring PSG’s men's and women's teams, fan activations, and experiences.

PSG's men's team's front-of-shirt sponsor is Qatar Airways, while the Qatar-owned club's kit supplier is Nike.

The men's side won both France's Ligue 1 and the pan-European UEFA Champions League last season, and face Rennes in their opening game of the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season on August 23.

Google, specifically Google Gemini, struck a significant number of deals with national soccer bodies in advance of the recently completed 2026 FIFA World Cup.

At that tournament, which was held across Mexico, the US, and Canada, between mid-June and mid-July, Google partnered with teams including the US, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, France, and Germany.

Outside of soccer, Google Gemini acted as a partner of cricket's 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
