Nokian Tyres, the Finland-based brand, has been unveiled as an official sponsor of the next two World Championships organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

The collaboration covers the tournaments to be held in Switzerland in 2026 and in Germany in 2027.

The deal, unveiled today, was struck on behalf of the IIHF by the Infront agency and will give Nokian in-arena visibility and digital activations.

The 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place from 15 to 31 May.

Nokian's previous sports sponsorships have included events in triathlon and orienteering. The brand is seeking to use its tie-up with the IIHF to expand its international presence.

The deal comes quickly after fastener supplier Wurth became a sponsor of the 2026 and 2027 World Championships.

Earlier this month, the IIHF named Denmark as the host nation of the 2026 women’s edition.
