Juventus reinforce cybersecurity partner list with Picus deal

Picus and the Turin club will collaborate on enhancing the Turin club's cybersecurity measures.

Italian soccer giants Juventus have brought in Picus Security as a new commercial partner.

Through a two-year deal between the two parties unveiled yesterday, Picus and the Turin club will collaborate on increasing the club's cybersecurity measures - Picus has now been announced as Juventus' official exposure validation partner.

To this end, Juve - currently sitting fifth in Italian men's soccer's top-tier Serie A - will continue to make use of the firm's Exposure Validation platform and technology, which it already has in place.

Picus and the club will also work on a range of exclusive customer experiences, both parties have said.

In terms of Juventus' partners portfolio, this builds on an existing cybersecurity tie-up the club has in place with the Fortinet platform, which was signed last August and which will run through the remainder of 2025-26. GlobalData Sport has valued that deal as being worth the equivalent of $1 million per year to the club.

Now, the club's head of ICT, Mirko Rinaldini, has commented: "By partnering with Picus Security, we gain a trusted leader whose innovative approach ensures our digital operations remain strong and resilient.”

Alper Memis, Picus Security's co-founder and chief executive, added: "Just as Juventus trains endlessly to gain the upper hand over other clubs, Picus continuously validates and reinforces cyber defenses so organizations can gain the upper hand by focusing their resources on real risks instead of just theoretical ones.”

A few weeks ago, Juve released their financial figures for the 2024-25 season, posting a €58 million loss in the fiscal year ended June 30.

This was, however, significantly less than the €199 million loss from a year earlier, as the club returned to the Champions League last season.

In terms of commercial dealings, meanwhile, the club's men's team's front-of-shirt sponsor is US vehicle manufacturer Jeep, with Adidas its kit supply partner.
