Credit scoring and credit product marketplace brand ClearScore has signed up as a partner of English soccer's men's FA Cup and Women's FA Cup knockout competitions, through a multi-year deal.

The tie-up with English soccer's Football Association (FA) was unveiled today.

It has been announced with the first round of the women's competition taking place across this coming weekend, and the equivalent stage of the men's knockout cup set for the weekend of November 1 and 2.

ClearScore, it is claimed, will produce a marketing campaign that celebrates "the impact of the men's and women's FA Cups on real people as well as directly engaging lower-league teams to actively support and help them to achieve their goals."

James Gray, the FA's commercial director, has commented: "We’re delighted to welcome ClearScore as an official partner of the FA Cup and Women’s FA Cup. These competitions are built on the principles of opportunity and ambition, and ClearScore’s commitment to helping people progress in life makes them a perfect partner.”

The FA Cup is title-sponsored by Dubai-based airline Emirates, in a deal running through 2027-28 that GlobalData Sport has valued at the equivalent of $12.84 million per season.

Other competition commercial partners this season, meanwhile, include EE, and ball supplier Mitre.

The Women's FA Cup, meanwhile, has Adobe in as its title sponsor, with that agreement running through 2025-26.

ClearScore's co-founder and chief executive, Justin Basini, added: "We’re proud to partner with the FA Cup and the Women’s FA Cup, which capture the imagination of millions of people every season."

The financial marketplace's first soccer sponsorship deal came in 2020, through a contract signed with English Premier League side Fulham.
