In the build-up to the first-ever Extreme H World Cup, with the hydrogen-based motor racing event set to take place between October 9 and 11, the property has brought in two new commercial partners.

UK law firm Shoosmiths has been unveiled as the nascent hydrogen-powered off-road racing series' legal services provider, while consulting agency Vmatch has also been brought in as a partner.

The deals have been announced in advance of the inaugural Extreme H World Cup, taking place in Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya City.

Vmatcdh will work to help expand the Extreme H World Cup's commercial program, with the aim of securing "long-term collaborations with global brands."

Shoosmiths, meanwhile, has been advising the Extreme H predecessor, Extreme E, since the series' inception in 2019.

This new deal will see the firm playing a key role in "helping Extreme H deliver on its ambition to inspire innovation, advance sustainability, and showcase world-class competition."

The Extreme H World Cup also recently renewed its partnership with the Vodafone Business division of the international mobile and telecoms firm.

In terms of recent Extreme H activity, over the last few weeks, the property has been striking a series of media rights deals.

Late last week, MBC Group, the Saudi-owned free-to-air (FTA) broadcaster, became the latest network to acquire rights. In addition, DAZN has secured global free-to-air rights.

The series has also recently secured a partnership with Dutch sports broadcaster Ziggo Sport, while adding Mexico and Central America to its US rights agreement with Fox Sports.
