Polish men's soccer's top-tier Ekstraklasa has begun the sales process for domestic and international media rights across its next cycle, stretching between 2027 and 2031.

The 18-team league announced earlier this week (October 15) that the tender process has officially begun, led by what it has described as a dedicated team of experts. The Ekstraklasa is handling the process itself and has said it expects to have broadcast partners for the next cycle in place by the end of 2026.

The Ekstraklasa is currently shown domestically primarily by pay-TV heavyweight Canal Plus, through a four-year deal unveiled in October 2022 worth PLN1.3 billion ($330.3 million), or PLN325 million a year, that runs through the 2026-27 campaign.

A multi-year sub-licensing deal, through which Polish public-service broadcaster TVP also covers live Ekstraklasa action, is in place through 2026-27 as well (having been unveiled last July).

The Polish soccer league has said that this process is being run in a manner that aims to provide maximum competitiveness and transparency.

League personnel involved in the process include Małgorzata Borkowska, Leszek Miklas, Marcin Serafin, Michał Fereniec, Jarosław Stróżyk, and Kinga Szkutnik.

Alongside the rights sales process, the Ekstraklasa is also developing a new media centre, which will open in 2027 and will serve as a production and content headquarters.

After 11 rounds of the 2025-26 Ekstraklasa season, Górnik Zabrze sits atop the table.
