Online ticket exchange platform SeatGeek has enhanced its presence in Major League Baseball (MLB) by partnering with another 10 teams.

Ahead of the start of the 2024 season today, the company has added the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, and Milwaukee Brewers to its portfolio.

SeatGeek, which replaced rival StubHub last year as the league’s official ticket resale partner, now has 14 clubs in its stable, with the New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, and Pittsburgh Pirates all having renewed this year after signing on with the ticketing platform last season.

The official ticket marketplace deals include high-impact in-stadium signage, such as home plate rotational, LEDs, and outfield wall signs.

SeatGeek will also be working with clubs to engage and educate their season-ticket members on using SeatGeek for buying and selling their tickets as part of the recent release of its Next Fan Up product, which makes it easier to bulk-list tickets.

The firm will also collaborate with the Red Sox and Marlins as their presenting sponsor of all major member events.

Meanwhile, the Rangers have named energy company Energy Transfer as their jersey patch partner under an expanded multi-year tie-up.

The agreement, which marks the first time that the Rangers will have a jersey patch partner, involves a circle patch with the Energy Transfer name and logo displayed on the right sleeve of all six of the Rangers’ jerseys.

Energy Transfer will also be expanding its marketing presence with the Rangers, which has included ballpark signage and radio network inventory since the partnership began in 2018.

Elsewhere, the Mets have announced Guardian Life Insurance Company of America as an official sponsor.

The partnership aims to foster engagement and build connections in the stadium, online, and in the Mets community.

Additionally, signage will be present throughout the stadium all season, and Guardian will become the first-ever presenting partner of the Mets Clubhouse, with branding on the players’ lockers.

The Mets and Guardian will also collaborate on community initiatives.
