SPOTV, the pan-regional pay-TV sports network, has expanded its offering, adding this year’s edition of golf’s iconic Ryder Cup team competition and Australia’s top-tier Volleyball Super League to its portfolio of sports rights in several Asian markets.

Under its deal with the Ryder Cup, the prestigious men’s competition between Team Europe and Team US, SPOTV will air this year’s tournament, being held at the Bethpage Black golf course in New York from September 26 to 28, across ten of its markets.

SPOTV’s live coverage of the tournament will be spread across its linear SPOTV channel, as well as its SPOTV NOW streaming service in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Macau, Laos, Myanmar, and Mongolia.

SPOTV’s rights for Australia’s indoor Volleyball Super League, meanwhile, will see the network air this year’s season between September 20 and November 2, with subscribers in Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Myanmar, Brunei, and Mongolia gaining access.

The Volleyball Super League’s NSW Phoenix currently has Adjani Zahra, an emerging Indonesian talent, signed as a player.

The new rights come after the network’s parent company, South Korean broadcaster Eclat Media Group, expanded the presence of SPOTV NOW into seven new Asian markets in May, bringing the service’s total regional footprint to 15 countries.

Macau, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Mongolia, and Taiwan were added to the existing markets of South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Along with the newly added Ryder Cup and Volleyball Super League, SPOTV’s offering includes motorsports in the form of MotoGP, WorldSBK, and Formula E, soccer in the form of the Saudi Pro League, A-League, and the Thai League 1, golf in the form of the Masters, and the Open, and Badminton World Federation Events, World Table Tennis, and the Korean Baseball League.

In March, SPOTV acquired exclusive rights across Southeast Asia to the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) series and the new Snow League winter sports competition.

The platform will show AEW pay-per-view (PPV) events and the Snow League in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand (except AEW), and Hong Kong.
