Sportel Monaco 2025 to bring sports media and tech industry together again

With its combination of masterclasses, keynotes, and panels, Sportel Monaco will bring unparallel insight into the future of sport.

The annual Sportel Monaco sports business conference is set to return later this month, with the flagship event set to attract a global audience of industry leaders, innovators, and professionals in the sports media and technology sectors.

The event is set to play a key role in fostering collaboration, creating new ideas, and accelerating development across the sports media landscape, with technology taking centre stage in shaping the future of the industry.

At the heart of the conference will be the cohort of industry leaders, who will share their knowledge and strategies for the future during sessions at the Speakers Stage venue throughout the three days.

A highlight of the sessions will be a Keynote from the president of Spanish soccer’s LaLiga, Javier Tebas, who will share the league’s latest solutions when it comes to sports media, while a high-profile line-up of chief executives will discuss the latest in sports investment, focusing on private equity and sovereign wealth funds.

In tech, there will be a session focusing on the latest live streaming tools that are creating connections for social media, TV networks, and OTT platforms, while industry experts will discuss technology tools that can help broadcasters, federations, leagues, and teams grow their fanbases and revenue streams.

Another session will discuss building brands through data analytics, DTC, sponsorship, and athlete-created and archival content, while a panel of leading AI solution providers will discuss the opportunities and concerns surrounding AI.

Authentic storytelling will also be addressed with panelists discussing how star power can boost fan engagement and create lucrative revenue streams for rights holders and sponsors.

In anticipation of the upcoming Sportel Singapore conference next March, there will be a session addressing content acquisition in the APAC region, including the recent struggle for leagues to sell rights in the region.

Along with these highlighted sessions, there will be many more taking the stage to showcase the latest innovations and ways to improve how sports are consumed, whether it's through live streaming, interactive broadcasts, or new ways to monetize content.
