UK and Ireland pay-TV heavyweight Sky has struck a multi-year rights deal covering the women's boxing platform run by the Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) vehicle.

Through a tie-up unveiled today, Sky Sports becomes the exclusive broadcaster in the UK and Ireland for two all-female UK fight nights per year run by the MVPW platform.

The first of these in 2026 will take place on April 5, with this event taking place at the Olympia in London, and featuring a double main event as Caroline Dubois takes on Terri Harper, and Ellie Scotney fights Mayelli Flores.

In addition, Sky Sports will cover select MVPW action from the US, starting with a bout at the iconic Madison Square Garden venue in New York City on April 17.

Earlier in March, Sky and Zuffa Boxing, the nascent promotion owned by combat sports giant TKO Group, unveiled a UK and Ireland tie-up.

Sky will broadcast all Zuffa Boxing events in those two key boxing markets.

The broadcaster has claimed that its biggest-ever audience for live women's sport came during the first all-female fight card in 2022, headlined by Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall.

Last month saw MVP and global streaming and content giant Netflix strike a worldwide deal for the upcoming 'Rousey vs Carano' bout.

Netflix will stream the event - set to take place in Los Angeles on May 16 - globally at no additional cost across all subscription tiers.

This is not MVP and Netflix’s first agreement. Indeed, the streamer was most recently the global broadcaster for the December bout between Anthony Joshua and Paul, which drew a global audience of more than 30 million on the service.

Recent major boxing broadcast rights agreements also include prominent UK-based promoter Matchroom extending its deal with global sports subscription platform DAZN.
