The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) has announced a new partnership with tech-led sports media agency TGI Sport to secure sponsorships for its competitions, including the inaugural OFC Professional League.

Under the partnership, TGI Sport is tasked with building a commercial program that will ultimately lead to more competitive international teams.

Specifically, it will refine OFC’s commercial assets, lead market engagement, and secure partners for the confederation’s entire portfolio, including next year's first continental club competition, the OFC Professional League, which aims to raise standards across the region and eventually provide a route to the expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

TGI Sport Australia Tony Box said: “OFC delivers some of the most exciting and diverse football competitions in the world, and we are thrilled to support their commercial vision across the entire ecosystem.

“From major tournaments to the inaugural OFC Pro League, there is an enormous opportunity to create meaningful connections with fans throughout the Pacific.

“Our team is ready to bring innovative, strategic partnership solutions that elevate the OFC’s competitions and help drive long-term growth for football in the region.”

The partnership marks a move towards a coordinated commercial strategy for the OFC, following the piecemeal sponsorships for its previous tournaments.

The body said it is seeking foundational partners as part of its long-term plan to enhance matchday experiences, bolster player pathways, and support member nations.

OFC said the new strategy will strengthen all levels of the confederation’s pyramid, from youth and development competitions to its flagship tournaments, while also increasing fan engagement across the region.

OFC general secretary Franck Castillo added: “This partnership with TGI Sport is a significant milestone for OFC as we strengthen the commercial foundations of all our competitions and programs.

“Their global expertise and experience working with major international sports properties will help us unlock new value for the entire OFC portfolio - from elite competitions to our game-changing initiatives like the OFC Pro League.

“Together, we are building a more sustainable, more impactful football ecosystem that will serve our Member Associations and communities for generations.”
