The new deal will continue to include all MotoGP Grand Prix races and Tissot Sprints, as well as qualifying and practice sessions, live on Sky Sport.

In addition, all races and sessions of Moto2 and Moto3 will remain part of Sky Sport’s extensive live coverage.

The rights package also includes the Harley Davidson Bagger World Cup, the Moto4 Northern Cup and the Red Bull Rookies Cup, which will feature 16-year-old up-and-coming German rider Fynn Kratochwil.

Beyond the exclusive new deal in Germany, RTL Deutschland has also extended the live broadcasting rights to the MotoGP World Championship on pay TV for Austria and Switzerland on a long-term basis.

The broadcast rights apply across all distribution platforms in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and additionally include rights for public screenings in bars and restaurants, hotels, and other public venues, offered via Sky Business.

The MotoGP calendar typically features one race in Germany, at the Sachsenring circuit. This year's Grand Prix of Germany took place on July 12.

Alex Arroyo, head of media rights at MotoGP, said: “Extending our partnership with RTL Deutschland is another important step in strengthening MotoGP’s presence across Germany. RTL Deutschland has been a fantastic partner, consistently delivering high-quality coverage and bringing fans closer to the action across all platforms.

“This new agreement ensures that audiences will continue to enjoy comprehensive live coverage of MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3, as well as our wider racing ecosystem, over the coming years. Together with Sky, we look forward to building on this momentum, growing our audience and delivering the excitement of MotoGP to even more fans in Germany and across the region.”

Hans Gabbe, senior vice president of sports rights and commercialization at RTL Deutschland, added: “Over the past three years, our customers have enjoyed the excitement of MotoGP and Sky Sport’s live coverage.

“We are excited to continue and expand our partnership by offering MotoGP exclusively on a long-term basis – for the first time with select races in front of an even bigger audience on free TV.”

This deal is the second rights renewal struck in a key European territory by MotoGP this month, after international sports streaming platform DAZN retained its exclusive deal in Spain until 2030.

DAZN also expanded its MotoGP offering by adding rights in Portugal through 2031.
