This comes in the wake of the competition's organizers announcing a new framework agreement – for the same time period – with the five participating MotoGP manufacturers, last week.

The latter ‘concorde’ commercial agreement lays out the competitive and commercial governance of the next cycle of MotoGP racing, ensuring the promotion and its competing manufacturers will continue to collaborate for the competitive and commercial advancement of the sport.

MotoGP has said that the teams' and manufacturers' agreements will bring about enhanced promotional and marketing efforts, helping to raise the profile of teams, individual riders, and the championship as a whole.

These are the first Concorde agreements struck since MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group (formerly known as Dorna Sports) struck an unprecedented promotional agreement for MotoGP with the FIM that will run through 2060, and similarly, the first since its acquisition by Liberty Media, and the subsequent indefinite suspension of the all-electric MotoE series.

Carmelo Ezpeleta, MotoGP Group's chief executive, commented: "This agreement provides greater stability for the teams while reinforcing their central role within the championship. We are proud to have 11 teams, each with a distinct identity and contribution to MotoGP. Combined with enhanced promotional commitments, this will bring fans closer to the action and strengthen the sport’s global appeal."

Lucio Cecchinello, president of the International Road-Racing Teams Association (the union of all MotoGP teams), added: "This agreement represents a very important step forward, giving all teams the stability, confidence, and resources needed to continue investing in the Championship through long-term, high-level, sporting projects.

"I would like to sincerely thank MotoGP Group, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Carlos Ezpeleta, and all the teams for the constructive spirit shown throughout the discussions. The process required time, attention, and responsibility from all parties."

This week has already seen MotoGP appoint CAA Sports as its new global sponsorship agency.

CAA will work with MotoGP to strike new commercial partnerships in a range of global markets and in new product categories.

The 2026 MotoGP season got underway at the start of March in Thailand and runs through until the final race of the season in Valencia, Spain, in late November.
