Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021), the organizing body for the tournament which will take place in England later this year, has announced a new partnership with Stats Perform, the international sports and data technology provider.
Under the agreement, announced today (August 9), Stats Perform will serve as the official data provider for the tournament.
The firm will provide Opta data to support RLWC2021 and its partners in creating “unique experiences” for audiences across media, brands, and sponsors.
Stats Perform will collect and distribute official RLWC2021 data and video for use by team analysts and media outlets across all 61 matches.
This will cover all matches from the men’s, women’s, and wheelchair World Cups, which will be held concurrently for the first time.
The RLWC will be held from October 15 to November 19. All three events were due to take place last year but were delayed by 12 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
