The agreement – which has been reported as being worth €83 million ($96.6 million) – renews Puma as the Istanbul side's kit and sportswear supplier.

It has also been reported by Turkish journalists that the agreement contains €14.5 million in performance bonuses.

Galatasaray currently sit top of the Turkish Super Lig, having won the last three championships consecutively.

The first deal between the two parties was unveiled in June last year, and GlobalData Sport at the time reported it as being worth €25 million in total, over five years.

The tie-up will continue giving Puma the rights to produce Galatasaray's match kits, training wear, and fan merchandise.

Galatasaray president Dursun Aydın Özbek has said, on the tie-up: "This agreement is not only a sponsorship but a strategic partnership that reflects Galatasaray’s history and future. Having a global brand like Puma by our side strengthens our vision to compete at the highest level in both Turkish and international football.”

Taner Seyis, chief executive at Puma's Turkey and Middle East division, added: "This is the longest and most valuable contract we have ever signed in Turkey. Galatasaray plays a vital role in representing Puma’s visibility in the region. We are proud to support Turkish sport and look forward to new projects that will enhance this collaboration.”

In terms of other Puma soccer tie-ups, July saw the sportswear heavyweight strike another significant, decade-long extension, on that occasion with Manchester City of the English Premier League.
