The Professional Fighters League (PFL) property has today unveiled plans to launch a South American division.
The mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion has also confirmed Jaime Pollack as the general manager of PFL Latin America.
One of his most notable previous roles – in this context – was his tenure as the senior vice president of international development for the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion – he has also served as Latin America general manager for that property. In addition, he has held senior roles at firms including Amazon Web Services, Activision Blizzard, and Anthem Sports and Entertainment.
He will now report to Peter Murray, chief executive of PFL International.
At the PFL, he will be responsible for the overall PFL expansion into Latin America, overseeing elements such as the commercial and media rights strategy, league operations, and talent development in that expansion region.
The PFL's expansion into Latin America comes after the US-based promotion has already launched PFL Europe, PFL MENA (Middle East and North Africa), PFL Pacific, and PFL Africa.

Murray added: "Jaime is one of the most respected and accomplished executives in international MMA. His leadership, deep regional knowledge, and unmatched experience growing the sport in Latin America make him the ideal person to lead PFL Latin America into its next phase of explosive growth."
The PFL has credited Pollack for, during his time at UFC, leading "explosive growth across key markets including Brazil and Mexico."
In terms of regional PFL expansion, late last month the league unveiled Emirati Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum as part of its global ownership group.
Sheikh Mohammed is the founding chairman of Alpha MBM Investments, a diversified investment company based in Dubai with interests across real estate, technology, energy, and sports.
PFL MENA is currently in its second season, while the series became the first global MMA organization to stage a major event in Dubai, earlier this year.
