Iconic grand slam tennis tournament Wimbledon has announced a new partnership with Dubai-based airline Emirates.

The multi-year deal will see Emirates serve as the official airline partner of the event, meaning that the airline now sponsors all four of tennis’ Grand Slam major events – the Australian Open, the French Open, the US Open, and Wimbledon.

Emirates branding will be present on-court at Wimbledon across the event, including on Centre Court. Emirates will activate around the event, staged in 2024 from July 1-14, with both social and digital collaborations, marketing, hospitality options, and on-site activations yet to be specified.

The pair will also collaborate on social initiatives, namely through the creation of a seven-figure “Force for Good” fund aimed at positively supporting local communities.

Emirates president Sir Tim Clark stated of the deal: “Wimbledon is a major sporting event viewed by millions around the world, and we’re delighted to be associated with such a well-respected brand.

Deborah Jevans, chair of the All England Club that hosts Wimbledon, added: “In partnering with Emirates, as Official Airline Partner, Wimbledon is joining forces with a premium brand and one of the world’s leading sponsors of tennis, and sport more generally. As Emirates embarks on its fourth decade supporting tennis, this exciting partnership takes the organization’s investment and connection to the sport to the next level.”

In terms of tennis’ iconic grand slam tournaments, Emirates first partnered with the UK Open in 2012, and the French Open in 2013, added the Australian Open in 2015, and now has completed the addition of Wimbledon to its sponsorship portfolio.
