The organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have brought on board Groupe ADP, an international airport operator based in Paris, as an official commercial partner.
The group has said it will “put its expertise in terms of reception at the service of the athletes, the Olympic family, and spectators from all over the world.”
The firm will be responsible for preparing the operational management of routes and luggage and adapting its facilities with the Paris games in mind, with more than 5,000 Groupe ADP employees to be mobilized.
Groupe ADP was initially a partner of the Paris 2024 bidding team.
Tony Estanguet, Paris 2024’s president, said: “We are very pleased that Groupe ADP, already a partner during the bid phase of the project, is today renewing its commitment to Paris 2024.
“In just over a year, France will be hosting the world, and Groupe ADP's know-how and expertise in hospitality will be essential to ensure that the experience of foreign spectators and thousands of athletes gets off to the best possible start.”
