Age Profile of Formula 1 Fans and Internet Users the Same

Sports Marketing Surveys, the Surrey based Market Research company, show in their most recent Formula One fan survey through the Internet that Formula One fans:-

  • List Gym and Soccer as their participation Sports
  • Have home access to the Internet
  • Are employed in good jobs – professional or management
  • Follow the age profile of Internet users 18-35 year olds
  • One third of fans are women
  • Above average subscribers to Pay TV
  • Use the Internet as a regular news source
  • Favourite driver is Michael Schumacher with Jensen Button as the most improved
  • 68% have bought F1 merchandise
  • Recognise West, Marlboro, HSBC and Orange as sponsors
  • This survey of Formula One fans was carried out exclusively on the Internet with a randomly selected sample.
