Spanish soccer giants Barcelona saw club revenues break the €1 billion barrier – for the first time – in the 2025-26 financial year.
During a campaign when the club won Spain's top-tier LaLiga for the second consecutive season, Barcelona secured €1.06 billion of revenue last season.

While this helped the title-winners secure an ordinary operating profit of €200,000 million, a number of 'extraordinary items' led to a pre-tax loss of just under €18 million.
The club was also forced to write down – again – the value of its Barca Productions arm, by €23 million, leaving that media division with a value of €116 million.
In terms of the different revenue sectors, sponsorship income hit €265 million, a new club record and €5 million more than was brought in from that same division in 2024-25.
The merchandising and licensing division at the club, meanwhile, was responsible for €208 million of revenue in 2025-26, up €40 million from the prior year.
These financial statements will be voted on – as will the budget for 2026-27 – at the club's next ordinary general assembly, set to take place on September 19.
For the 2026-27 season – which began last month – Barcelona are forecasting operating revenue of up to €1.195 billion, meanwhile.
This comes with Barca playing the entire season at its Camp Nou venue – in 2025-26, multiple games had to be played at the much smaller Estadi Johan Cruyff, with the Camp Nou currently going through a massive renovation project.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Barca's board is set to request an increase – of €510 million – in the funding available to complete the rebuild of its iconic home stadium.
The Espai Barca project – which includes the renovation of that venue (which is still taking place) as well as of the entire surrounding area – has been financed up to this point through €1.5 billion secured from a combination of JPMorganChase, and Goldman Sachs.
However, the club is now reportedly asking for over €500 million more.
Barcelona have said the new loan will be repaid in the same way as is the plan with the current financing agreements – through revenue generated by the new venue and surrounding area.
Barca's men's and women's teams both won their domestic leagues last season, with Barca Femeni also winning the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The men's team have won all four of their games so far this LaLiga season.
In terms of recent Barcelona commercial activity, late August saw the club unveil a deal with EgyptAir, the state-owned flag carrier of Egypt, which has now become the club’s exclusive airline.
