WTT in new US FanDuel deal, extends with Dyn in Germany

FanDuel's coverage of top-tier table tennis will span both FAST (free-ad-supported-television) and streaming.

World Table Tennis (WTT), the organization that manages the International Table Tennis Federation’s (ITTF) commercial rights, has struck broadcast rights deals in the US with FanDuel TV and in Germany with the Dyn OTT platform.

In the US, a new tie-up has been put in place with FanDuel TV, the platform run by the US-based gaming and fantasy sports company, for the 2026 season. Coverage will span both FAST (free-ad-supported-television) and streaming.

FanDuel TV will cover the range of top-tier WTT events, including WTT Grand Smashes, WTT Champions, WTT Star Contender, as well as the end-of-season WTT Finals, multiple premier ITTF events, such as the World Table Tennis Championship Finals, and the Singles World Cup.

Free exclusive coverage will be available via the FanDuel TV Extra FAST channel and through the FanDuel TV+ over-the-top service.

FanDuel TV+ can be accessed for free with a FanDuel account and is available via the Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Android TV providers (or online).

In Germany, meanwhile, Dyn has extended its rights covering premium WTT and ITTF action for a further two years, with an option also in place for a further one-season extension.

Dyn will continue as the exclusive provider of WTT action for a German audience, as well as for fans across Austria and Switzerland (the deal extends across the whole DACH region).

As with the FanDuel TV tie-up, the agreement covers the top WTT and ITTF tournaments, including all four WTT Grand Smashes and the WTT Finals.

The original tie-up - a two-season affair - between WTT and Dyn got underway in January 2024.

Dyn originally launched in mid-2023 and has since made table tennis one of its key sports offerings.

Heavyweight sports agency IMG is the long-term strategic partner of WTT for broadcast rights sales and exploitation, through a 2020 deal.

In terms of WTT broadcast rights activity over the last few months, mid-September saw that body unveil a four-year deal with CazeTV, the Brazilian sports streaming channel run by streamer Casemiro Miguel and the LiveMode agency.

The deal gives the platform exclusive digital free-to-view rights in Brazil from 2025 to 2028.
