Sky to provide Saudi Pro League clips and highlights

Sky Sports will show match highlights from each round of matches on its digital platforms.

UK pay-TV giant Sky has secured rights to show clips and highlights from Saudi Arabian soccer’s top-flight Saudi Pro League (SPL) on its digital and social media platforms for the remainder of the season.

The content will be available in the UK and Ireland on the Sky Sports app and website, the Sky Sports News channel, and on Sky Sports' social media channels.

From the next set of fixtures, starting tomorrow, Sky Sports will show match highlights from each round of matches as well as live in-game action and the best moments from each match round.

The SPL this season features a host of former English Premier League players, including Ivan Toney, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, Joao Felix, and N'Golo Kante.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr are currently top after winning all four of their opening games as the Portuguese superstar seeks to win his first SPL title since joining the club in 2023.

In August, Sky also picked up clips and highlights rights to Spain’s LaLiga in a three-season deal running through the 2027-28 campaign.

Sky Sports additionally provides digital and social video coverage of Germany’s Bundesliga (as well as live matches), complementing its domestic rights of the Premier League, WSL, EFL, and SPFL in the UK.

The SPL recently announced an uplift of 20% to its annual media rights revenue globally over the past two seasons after many new agreements were secured recently.

The league is being shown in over 180 global territories across the 2025-26 campaign thanks to a succession of partnerships that have seen media rights revenue grow for the third successive cycle.

Across the 2024-25 campaign, the SPL claims it drew as many as 230 million fans globally.

In addition to broadcast agreements, the league has worked to expand its reach through short-form content, such as highlights, across platforms like YouTube, OneFootball, and DAZN, where it has established a content hub.

The league’s media rights are managed by heavyweight sports marketing agency IMG, which renewed its partnership with the competition for another four-year cycle back in August.
