Formula 1 (F1) motor racing heavyweights Red Bull have brought in fast food giant McDonald's as a new commercial partner in a deal - part of a wider tie-up - that covers the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

Through an eight-week agreement unveiled earlier this week, the brand's iconic 'golden arches' logo will appear on the halo of the Red Bull RB21 race car at the Interlagos circuit that hosts the Sao Paulo event, over the race weekend of November 8 and 9.

That logo will also appear in the team's garage.

Elsewhere, in terms of activations, a local McDonald's outlet close to the Brazilian circuit will transform its drive-thru facility into a Red Bull Racing pit stop.

This all forms part of a wider McDonald's tie-up with the overall Red Bull energy drinks empire, through which Red Bull will be made available in select Brazilian McDonald's outlets.

Ilca Sierra, marketing director at McDonald's Brazil, has now said: "It is an honor to be partners with Red Bull Racing ... reinforcing our presence in F1.

"We are very excited about this collaboration because we are able to deliver experiences that authentically connect and align with the DNA of both brands."

Red Bull go into the race with an outside chance of driver Max Verstappen becoming drivers' champion this season - he is currently third in the standings with five races to go, but only 40 points behind championship leader Oscar Piastri (of McLaren).

The Mexico Grand Prix comes next, on Sunday, October 26, to be followed by the Interlagos race, before the series heads to Las Vegas, Qatar, and then Abu Dhabi (the season finale).

In terms of Red Bull Racing commercial activity, last month saw the team bring in US-based global investment firm Carlyle as a new commercial partner.

In terms of the UK-based F1 team's other commercial partners, Oracle is its main title partner, while other top-tier sponsors include brands such as Tag Heuer, Rokt, Mobil, Honda, and Castore.

Red Bull Racing, in terms of the 2025 F1 constructors' championship, finds itself down in fourth position in the F1 constructors' standings.
