The new five-year partnership will cover all eight T20 franchises, beginning with the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.

The Cricket Australia governing body has agreed a new major kit deal with sportswear heavyweight New Balance, covering the men’s and women’s Big Bash League (BBL/WBBL) T20 competitions.

Running through the next five BBL and WBBL campaigns, the deal will see New Balance provide kits for all eight teams that compete across the two leagues.

This will also include the production and provision of training kits and supporter apparel, both for players to wear and consumers to purchase.

Belgravia Apparel, New Balance’s elite teamwear partner in the Australasia region, will continue to collaborate with the US brand to provide its kits in the market.

New Balance replaces US rival Nike, which has been the BBL/WBBL uniform provider for the past four campaigns.

Speaking on the kit deal, New Balance regional general manager for Australia Dean Howard commented: "The Big Bash provides a platform for New Balance to play at the intersection of sporting culture whilst bringing an elevated, global brand experience to the sport."

New Balance has a strong presence in Australia and in 2023 partnered with the Tennis Australia governing body to serve as its official apparel and footwear partner through 2026.

As many as six Australian Football League teams are also sponsored by New Balance as kit partners, as are a number of the country’s Super Netball sides.

The brand also already sponsors Australia men’s national team cricket captain Pat Cummins, who is contracted to the Sydney Thunder BBL side as a marquee supplementary player.

In Australia, New Balance has been the apparel provider for the country’s Sheffield Shield, Men’s One-Day Cup, and Women’s National Cricket League since 2021.

Elsewhere in cricket, New Balance is also the kit partner of English short-form tournament The Hundred and the Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

The WBBL season will begin on November 9, with the BBL season opener following on December 16.

This is the latest prominent BBL/WBBL-related tie-up for Cricket Australia thus far in 2025.

In April, the body renewed its deal with fast food heavyweight KFC, which will remain as the men’s BBL title sponsor for the next three campaigns.
