The International Cricket Council (ICC) has brought on board the Marriott Bonvoy hotel group as a new global commercial sponsor.

Through a multi-year agreement unveiled today, Marriott Bonvoy becomes the cricket body's official accommodation partner, with the tie-up running through to 2029.

The deal covers all major ICC men's events and tournaments, beginning in time for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which will take place across India and Sri Lanka between February 7 and March 8.

The deal will involve local activations, cricket-led content produced by Marriott Bonvoy, and "enhanced member engagement."

All those who attend ICC tournaments during the length of the deal - players, staff, fans - will be able to stay across Marriott Bonvoy's extensive portfolio, as well as "accessing exclusive experiences" available through the ICC Travel & Tours department.

The tie-up also covers select other ICC events and conferences.

The last month has already seen the ICC enter into major commercial deals with heavyweight automotive brand Hyundai, and global alcoholic beverage group AB InBev.

GlobalData Sport has valued the ICC-Hyundai tie-up at $6.25 million annually.

Other significant ICC sponsors include Emirates, Aramco, DP World, Sobha, and Coca-Cola.

Following this year's T20 World Cup, other major men's ICC events over the next few years include the Cricket World Cup in late 2027 and the 2028 edition of the T20 World Cup.

For Marriott Bonvoy, this deal follows on from the group being named as a regional sponsor of soccer's 2026 men's FIFA World Cup earlier this week.

As part of the agreement, the company will serve as the official hotel supporter in North America for the tournament.

In addition to joining the World Cup as an official supporter, Marriott Bonvoy will partner with long-standing FIFA partner Visa on further fan engagement initiatives.
