UK pay-TV heavyweight Sky has snapped up rights to the 2026 edition of Major League Cricket (MLC) in the US, which got underway late last week.

Sky is now providing exclusive coverage of that six-team domestic men's T20 competition, which has just begun its fourth season.

This marks the first MLC campaign set to be covered in the UK by Sky - the pay-TV rival TNT Sports aired the first two editions, while last year, the action was covered by Premier Sports.

The 34 games set to take place in this year's MLC will be split between a venue in Grand Prairie (Texas), and two in California.

Bryan Henderson, director of cricket at Sky Sports, stated: "Major League Cricket has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting emerging competitions in the global cricket calendar.

"We are pleased to bring the 2026 season to fans and showcase the continued growth of T20 cricket in the United States."

English players involved in MLC 2026 include Alex Hales.

Sky, in terms of its coverage of other overseas domestic cricket leagues, also covered the SA20 in South Africa, the PSL in Pakistan, and the Big Bash League in Australia, over the most recent UK winter.

It also airs The Hundred and the T20 Blast English competitions domestically, as well as the vast majority of all men's and women's home international cricket in England.

MLC, meanwhile, is aired domestically by Willow TV, the North American cricket-centric platform.

Other broadcast partners around the world include ESPN in sub-Saharan Africa, Star Sport and Disney Hotstar in India, A Sports in Pakistan, and the subsidiary channels of Channel Seven in Australia.
