Cricket Australia signs first back-of-shirt sponsorship with Hola Health

The company's logo will feature on the back of the kit for both men's and women's teams.

Cricket Australia (CA) has expanded its partnership with Hola Health, naming the company as its first back-of-shirt sponsor.

Through the agreement, the healthcare firm’s logo will feature below the number on the back of the playing kit for both CA's men's and women's international teams.

The branding will debut in the men’s opening home test match against Bangladesh next month, in Darwin.

Hola Health has upgraded its partnership with CA, signing an enhanced sponsorship deal that makes it a top-tier 'gold partner', upgrading its sponsorship less than one year into an initial four-year agreement.

While Australia's men's T20I side has previously had a sponsor on the rear of the kit, last seen in 2020, this deal extends across all formats, making it the first of its kind in Australian cricket.

Australian bank Westpac currently features on the front of all national team kits under a deal announced last year.

Westpac replaced rival Commonwealth Bank, which had been CA's longest-running sponsor, through a deal dating back to 1987, but decided against renewing the last tie-up between the two parties, which expired at the end of June 2025.

After an initial six-month trial, the International Cricket Council (ICC) permanently allowed front-of-shirt sponsorships in the sport in late 2020 after cricket boards struggled with a drop in commercial revenue due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The ICC, which tightly controls the regulations about sponsor placement and size on playing kits, relaxed the rules further in 2023 to allow placement on the back of test kits to be sold.

Australia has been one of the last to take up that commercial opportunity. Only India and New Zealand have not carried a sponsor logo on the rear of their test playing kit.

South Africa are the only test-playing nation who have never worn a major sponsor logo on the front of their test kit, meanwhile.

Australia's decision to put the sponsor logo below the playing number is against the trend in world cricket. Only England and next month's opponents, Bangladesh, followed that route, with the rest of the test-playing nations having their sponsor across the shoulder blades and the player's surname below.
