BeIN Media Group, the Qatar-based international pay-TV media heavyweight, has secured exclusive broadcast rights across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The multi-platform broadcast rights, which cover linear TV and streaming, will allow BeIN to disseminate coverage across its primary BeIN Sports networks and its TOD OTT streaming service.

BeIN will display live action, highlights, and original ancillary programming around the event.

This deal also includes the currently ongoing 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games (an agreement announced earlier this week), as well as the 2026 (Dakar, Senegal) and 2028 (Dolomites and Veltellina, Italy) editions of the Youth Olympic Games and Youth Winter Olympic Games, respectively.

Speaking on the partnership, BeIN Media Group chief executive Yousef Al-Obaidly commented: “The Olympic Games represent the pinnacle of global sport and culture, and we are proud to continue our long-standing, trusted partnership with the IOC, bringing the Games to millions of viewers across the MENA region.

“For more than a decade, beIN has been a committed partner of the IOC, delivering the Olympic Games to audiences while elevating the stories that define the Olympic movement. Securing the rights to Milano Cortina 2026 and LA28 reflects our long-term commitment to the Games and our continued work with the IOC to expand their reach, impact, and positive influence worldwide.”

Kirsty Coventry, the IOC president elected in 2025, added: “We are pleased to continue our partnership with BeIN Media Group in the Middle East and North Africa, and I’d like to thank the BeIN team for all their support.

“Through its extensive reach and sports broadcast expertise, beIN is a leader in its industry and plays an important role in bringing the Olympic Games to millions of fans across the region.”

The 24 territories included in the deal are: Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

MENA territories collectively garnered 29 medals at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, including 12 medals for Iran (three golds) across men’s wrestling and taekwondo.

BeIN has held Olympic broadcast rights across the MENA region since 2018, when it replaced the free-to-air TV alliance, the Arab States Broadcast Union.

Its Paris 2024 coverage spanned 17 dedicated broadcast channels with multi-language commentary in both Arabic and English, and also included free-to-air content around the games (including live event coverage).
