Also included in the agreement are the next two seasons of the men’s club competition, the ASEAN Club Championship, in 2026-27 and 2027-28.
Known as the ASEAN Hyundai Cup, the men’s national team tournament will begin on July 24 and run through the two-stage final on August 22 and 26.
TrueVisions will disseminate coverage via its linear channels, digital platforms, and associated OTT service.
Speaking on the announcement, Ongard Prapakamol, head of trueVisions and the wider media division at parent company True Corporation, commented: “We are delighted and proud to bring ASEAN’s premier football tournaments to Thai fans. With live coverage of every match, expert commentary, in-depth analysis, and exclusive content, TrueVisions is committed to delivering the most comprehensive and engaging viewing experience.”
Indeed, TrueVisions’ wide-ranging soccer portfolio includes Europe’s elite UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, Italy’s Serie A and Coppa Italia, Spain’s LaLiga, and Germany’s Bundesliga.
Outside of soccer, trueVisions also broadcasts motor racing’s elite Formula 1 and MotoGP, grand slam and WTA tennis, golf’s four iconic Majors, UFC MMA, and domestic Muay Thai.
Prapakamol continued: “This partnership further strengthens our position as Thailand’s leading sports platform and reinforces our commitment to bring world-class and regional sporting events closer to Thai audiences. TrueVisions will provide football enthusiasts with an immersive and engaging experience throughout the tournament.”
AFF president Khiev Sameth added: “Our official broadcast partners are fundamental to the continued growth and success of ASEAN football. We are delighted to welcome TrueVisions, a highly respected broadcaster with a proven track record of delivering world-class sports content to audiences across Thailand.”
This tie-up, as with the AFF’s other commercial agreements, was brokered by German agency Sportfive, which is the body’s exclusive commercial agency.
The 12-member AFF is made up of Australia (which does not typically compete in men’s AFF competition), Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
Of the 11 total competing ASEAN teams, 10 will contest in the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
Thailand, owing to its strong soccer culture, has dominated the tournament, winning seven of the 14 editions since its 1996 establishment.
The country has also won four of the 13 editions of the ASEAN Women’s Championship (more than any other nation), one of the five editions of the ASEAN U-23 Championship (2005), and Thai giants Buriram United have won two of the four editions of the ASEAN Club Championship.
Other sponsors secured by the AFF include automotive giant Hyundai, regional insurance conglomerate MSIG, global hotel and hospitality chain Accor, and match ball supplier Adidas.
Hyundai is the title sponsor of the ASEAN Championship, while MSIG is the title sponsor of the ASEAN Women’s Championship (the ASEAN Women’s MSIG Cup), and prominent regional e-commerce platform Shopee is the title sponsor of the ASEAN Club Championship (the ASEAN Shopee Cup).
MSIG and Shopee are both also presenting partners of the ASEAN Championship, while other sponsors include hotel chain Accor’s ALL program, airline AirAsia, Australian food label Aussie Beef, and technical sponsor Adidas.
Most recently, prominent grooming brand Gillette became the latest sponsor of the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
