London-based digital sports agency Stadion has today unveiled the acquisition of fellow sports agency Sotic.

Stadion’s sporting client base includes soccer’s Manchester City, Brentford, and Rangers, as well as the Six Nations Rugby tournament, and international cycling’s UCI governing body. This will now be added to by the Sotic client list in this sector, which features rugby union’s British and Irish Lions, the Irish and Welsh rugby union bodies, and World Sailing.

Both parties have said that the integration of Sotic into Stadion “promises enhanced offerings across multiple sectors.”

Russell Stopford, Stadion Limited’s chief executive, has said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sotic into the Stadion group. Their exceptional track record in pioneering groundbreaking technologies perfectly complements our ethos of pushing boundaries and delivering unparalleled value to our customers across the sports sector."

Leo Mindel, Sotic’s founder and non-executive director, added: “I am extremely proud of the team … and I believe together Stadion and Sotic will be able to deliver the best solutions to the international sports Industry, offering market-leading technology matched with unrivaled customer support.”

Stopford was appointed as chief executive at Stadion in April 2022, having spent time as head of digital at top-tier European soccer clubs Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Barcelona, and Manchester City.
