US golf’s PGA Tour has expanded its major tie-up with EA Sports and will now see its courses and events feature in the video game developer’s Golf Clash mobile offering.

For the first time in Golf Clash, for example, players will be able to compete in a version of the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club.

This event marks the culmination of the FedExCup Playoffs and the first year of a multi-year EA Sports and PGA Tour agreement, which will bring a series of real-world courses and events into Golf Clash over the coming years.

Nine of the Tour Championship holes at East Lake Golf Club will be available to play in the mobile game from August 24 to 27, with practice rounds starting on August 21.

Dubbed the Tour Championship 9-Hole Cup, the in-game tournament is free to enter and will include nine holes from the East Lake Golf Club.

This deal is in addition to the existing EA Sports PGA Tour console and PC offerings.
