Legends Global, the venue management and premium experiences firm, has been brought in as the operating partner for a new, 135,000-capacity, sports stadium that will open in the Vietnam capital of Hanoi in 2027.
A deal has been unveiled today between Legends and Vingroup, the largest Vietnamese private conglomerate, through which Legends will play a heavy role in operating the new VinFast-Trong Dong Stadium, set to open at the end of July next year.

The tie-up entails Vingroup and Legends Global working collaboratively to oversee and manage the venue, and to attract major events – from the worlds of sport, culture, and entertainment – to the event. A planned capacity of 135,000 would make it the largest stadium to be used for sport worldwide.
Legends will be involved in facility management, vendor coordination, as well as on-site service operations.
The two parties have said the arena will "establish new benchmarks in scale and technological sophistication."
It will also work to develop the venue management staff working for Vingroup in Vietnam.
In addition, the overall partnership between the two parties will stretch into Legends providing wider stadium and event management services to Vingroup in the country.
Dan Levy, chief executive at Legends Global, commented: "Legends Global is honoured to partner with Vingroup on this landmark development. We look forward to sharing our expertise in venue and event management to help bring Vingroup’s ambition and vision for the world’s largest stadium to life.”
Nguyen Viet Quang, Vingroup's vice chair and CEO, added: "With its world-leading scale, contemporary architecture inspired by Vietnamese cultural heritage, automated retractable roof, and playing surface designed to meet FIFA standards, we envision working alongside Legends Global to transform the stadium into a global gathering place for the finest sporting, cultural, and entertainment events.”
The plan is currently for the VinFast-Trong Dong Stadium to be surrounded by a larger complex, featuring hotels, shopping centres, hospitals, parks, and other amenities, as well as the Hung Vuong International Sports Complex.
The main sports stadium in Hanoi at the moment is the My Dinh National Stadium, which is the home of the country's national soccer team, and which also hosts concerts and athletics events.
That venue has a seated capacity of just over 40,000 – although this can be expanded to 50,000 if necessary – and was only opened in September 2003.
In terms of recent Legends Global activity, earlier this week the firm extended its tie-up with Beemok Sports & Entertainment, which runs tennis' top-tier Cincinnati Open in the US.
Legends Global continues as the partnership and sales leader for that US tournament.
It has also recently been unveiled as the owner's representative for the new ballpark – for which ground has not yet been broken – of the Kansas City Royals from North America's Major League Baseball.
