TGI Sport, the sports infrastructure, technology, and media rights business part-owned by Bruin Capital, has unveiled a deal to buy cricket-focused talent representation agency Insignia Sports International.
Cricketing stars represented by Insignia (which is also part-owned by Quadrant Private Equity) will now join TGI Sports and have their affairs handled by that firm. TGI is no stranger to representing international cricketers itself, through its TLA Worldwide management business.
The Insignia team, based at The Oval, the iconic cricket ground in south London, UK, will now all work under the TGI Sport banner.
Players such as Rashid Khan (pictured), Jofra Archer, and Sunil Narine, will now move across to TGI representation. Insignia also features a number of team coaches in its ranks of cricketing talent.
Between them, the Insignia and TGI management agencies represent in the region of 240 men’s and women’s cricketers.
The deal adds to the rapidly-growing stable of recent TGI Sport acquisitions, including digital sports advertising and sales firm Sportseen, the Interregional Sports Group agency, and virtual advertising and product placement provider Brand Brigade.
