US collegiate sports conference Pac-12 has renewed and expanded its tie-up with sport-focused platform FuboTV, with the streaming service becoming the conference’s official streaming partner.
The service becomes the broadcast partner of flagship Pac-12 events, including the 2023 Pac-12 American football championship game, and the 2024 Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s basketball tournaments, as well as partnering with the 12 constituent colleges individually.
The deal will also see Fubo branding present in stadiums across Pac-12 American football, basketball, and athletic championship events.
The two partners will also collaborate on marketing, marking Fubo’s first marketing deal with a collegiate sports entity, having already inked similar deals with four professional baseball franchises among other major sports teams.
Fubo has been partnered with the Pac-12 Conference since August 2017, with the service hosting the Pac-12 Network national channel.
The Pac-12 Network national channel is found across multiple of the platform’s subscription tiers, whilst its six dedicated regional channels can also be seen on the service with the “Sports Plus” add-on.

Yale Wang, Fubo senior vice president at marketing, stated: “College sports have always been a highly engaged, passionate fanbase for Fubo.
“This year in particular, we're seeing even greater interest in Pac-12 games as their football teams are also having an exceptionally strong season.”
The 2023-24 collegiate sports season could be one of the last for the beleaguered Pac-12 conference, with ten of the twelve member schools set to defect from the conference in August 2024.
The remaining two teams – Oregon State University and Washington State University – are also looking to exit the conference, spelling the end for Pac-12 beyond 2024, and the likely resolution of the Fubo deal.
The 2023 NCAA Division regular season started on August 26 and ends on December 9.
Meanwhile, Fubo has inked a deal with the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators, with Fubo providing coverage of the ice hockey franchise throughout the 2023-24 season.
Under the deal, Fubo will offer coverage all season through broadcasters Bally Sports South, ESPN, NHL Network, and ABC affiliate WKRN.
As part of the deal, Fubo branding will be displayed throughout Bridgestone Arena and across the Predators' digital platforms.
Season ticket holders, meanwhile, will gain exclusive benefits including access to a free 30-day Fubo trial. Non-season ticket holders will be able to access a free 14-day Fubo trial
Fubo has recorded strong growth throughout 2023 backed by a significant increase in income and subscribers in the second quarter of the year.
The company delivered ad revenue in North America of $22.8 million in Q2, up 5% year-over-year, which it said marks “an expected return to growth despite a challenged advertising market.”
