Shakhtar Donetsk, the Ukrainian soccer club, have unveiled energy company DTEK as their sleeve sponsor in the UEFA Champions League club competition this season.
The logo will debut on Shakhtar’s shirts for their game against AEK Athens at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge stadium in London tomorrow, where the club will be playing their home matches temporarily this year due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

DTEK’s sponsorship is part a collaborative campaign with the club encouraging international companies to invest in Ukraine.
Both Shakhtar and DTEK are owned by Ukrainian billionaire businessman Rinat Akhmetov through his international investment firm SCM Group.
SCM serves as the club's primary front-of-shirt sponsor.
Serhii Palkin, FC Shakhtar CEO, said: “For us, this partnership has a clear purpose. The Champions League gives us an opportunity to speak to a large international audience, while DTEK provides a concrete example that investment in Ukraine is possible today. We want to use Shakhtar’s reach to ensure this message is heard far beyond Ukraine.”
Shakhtar have returned to the Champions League this season after a one year absence, with the Ukrainian Premier League outfit competing in the third-tier UEFA Conference League in the 2025-26 campaign.
They kicked off their Champions League campaign this year with a 1-1 draw against PSV Eindhoven.
