UEFA, European soccer’s governing body, has begun the tender process to select a partner or partners for the provision of broadcast and media tribune services at the 2024 European Football Championship men’s national team tournament in Germany.
UEFA issued a request for information (RFI) yesterday (May 16) from companies interested in providing these services (essentially, providing a secure physical raised platform for media to work on during games) across all 10 German host cities during that tournament, which will run from June 14 to July 14.
The governing body has set a deadline of May 30 for the submission of this information, and will then issue a request for proposals (RFP) on June 3.
The deadline for final submissions is then June 24, and, after a selection of short-listed entities, the final company or companies will be appointed by July 22, UEFA has said.
Relevant information should be sent to johanna.lechner@euro2024.com by no later than 18:00PM CET on May 30.
In terms of the information UEFA is looking for, the body has said it will need: a description of proven experience in providing similar services; annual financial reports from the last three years; proof of “strong financial standing”; provision of an organizational chart; evidence of sufficient and appropriate infrastructure and resources; a description of any experience in terms of providing services at large sports or entertainment events; and a "statement of undertaking".
The company or companies selected will be in charge of providing (on a rental basis), setting up, running, and dismantling, broadcast, and media tribunes and platforms across all venues during Euro 2024.
In late March, UEFA initiated a tender to find one or more suppliers for the provision of containers at Euro 2024.
The RFP for that tender must be submitted by May 20, and the 2024 Euro organizers aim to appoint the supplier or suppliers by June 31, subject to contracts.
