WBD Sports Europe Events, the event management division of the US media giant, has launched a new multi-category set of tenders for the UCI Mountain Bike World Series property.
The series was launched after WBD extended and expanded its deal with cycling’s UCI governing body in 2022 to cover the promotion and broadcast of Mountain Bike World Cup events until 2030, ending up with the launch of the World Series.

Two tenders will launch on June 15, spanning three years (the 2027 to 2029 events cycle).
The first of these tenders concerns digital timing and television graphics, including the creation and delivery of on-screen information, interpolation of live race data, global broadcast feed integration, and data management and tracking.
WBD says that this tender will have a focus on “accuracy, reliability, scalability, and seamless integration with broadcast operations.”
Running concurrently, the second tender relates to the on-site presentation events and the provision of LED screens to those same events, with the aim of strengthening the event presentation and fan experience.
This tender, WBD says, will focus on “entertainment, fan engagement and integration with broadcast and partners.”
The deadline for submissions will be August 12, with the results awarded on September 7 after bidding presentations on August 24.

Under its promotional agreement, WBD Sports Europe Events collaborates with the Enduro Sports Organization (ESO) mountain biking promotion specialists to deliver every aspect of the Mountain Bike World Series, including organization, media production, broadcast, promotion, and commercialization.
The current title sponsor of the series is Whoop, the US-based wearable fitness tech brand, in a deal running through 2026.
Other major sponsors are energy drinks brand Monster (which signed on at the beginning of 2026 in a long-term deal), automotive tire brand Michelin, and bike manufacturer Shimano, which rounds out the ‘main partner’ designation.
The 2026 edition of the series began on May 1 in Mona Yongpyong, South Korea, and will run through the season-ending event at Lake Placid, US (October 2 to 4), encompassing 14 three-day stages in all.
Next up is the Austra stage, held at Saalfelden Leogang in Salzburgerland, from June 11 to 14.
