Tata Consultancy Services, the prominent India-based IT company, has become the new title sponsor of British Racing team Jaguar Racing as part of a multi-year partnership extension with Jaguar Land Rover, the British luxury car manufacturer.

The team will be known as Jaguar TCS Racing during the 2021-22 FIA Formula E World Championship.

The deal will bring TCS and Jaguar’s relationship to over a decade, having first partnered back in 2012.

As part of the renewed agreement, the two parties will aim to promote electrification and sustainability in the sport.

TCS joins Dow, Castrol, GKN, Alpinestars and Uncommon as partners to the team.

Rajesh Gopinathan, chief executive and managing director at TCS, said: “As the world races towards electrification, this collaboration will pave the way for the adoption of advanced technologies, utilisation of cleaner energy, and the evolution of novel business models.

“Our efforts will go beyond business to make a lasting impact on people, communities, and the planet.”

James Barclay, team principal at Jaguar TCS Racing, added: “Welcoming a brand-new title partner – TCS – is a real honour and we look forward to a highly innovative and successful partnership together.”
