AS Roma, of Italian top-tier soccer’s Serie A, have signed a long-term partnership with German sportswear giant adidas.
The deal will involve Adidas supplying the kits for Roma’s men’s, women’s, youth, and esports teams from the 2023-24 season onwards.
The deal comes after Roma was given the green light by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to exit its kit deal with New Balance after the US brand sued the club for breach of contract.
New Balance claimed its deal with Roma included a right of first refusal clause, allowing it to renew the agreement by matching any third-party offers. However, this was rejected by the court.
Meanwhile, English Premier League club Nottingham Forest have announced an extension and expansion of their deal with German energy provider E.ON.
E.ON will continue as the club's official sustainability partner, as it has since 2021, while also becoming its new official training wear partner.
