The Seattle Seahawks of American football’s NFL have announced that Safeway, the grocery retail chain based in California, will expand its long-term partnership with the club to include entitlement of the team's community engagement programming.

As the Seahawks' community engagement entitlement sponsor, Safeway will partner with the team on activities throughout 2024, which will include player and legend appearances as well as joint fundraising efforts for local non-profit organizations.

A Safeway patch will also be worn on the Seahawks' community jerseys, which are worn by players and Legends at events.

Additionally, Safeway will serve as the presenting partner of the team's new Seahawks Community Awards, which will launch this season.

Later this summer, the Seahawks and Safeway, in partnership with Seattle-based television station King 5, will host a food drive at the annual Seahawks Football Fest on August 3 to help Northwest Harvest, a non-profit organization supporting food banks in Washington state.
