North American basketball’s NBA has named Revolut, the digital financial services company, as the presenting partner of its regular season game in Paris next year.

The agreement also makes Revolut the official money management partner of the NBA in France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, and the UK.

The Brooklyn Nets will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the league’s third regular-season game in Paris on January 11, 2024.

US sportswear giant Nike served as the presenting partner of last year’s game in the French capital between the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls.

As presenting partner, Revolut will receive in-arena and on-court branding and will host a variety of activations and fan engagement initiatives during the game.

Revolut will also activate at NBA House, a free, interactive fan event that will be held in Paris in conjunction with the game.

The fixture and surrounding events will be supported by a roster of marketing partners, including 2K, Foot Locker, Gatorade, La Française des Jeux, Hotels.com, Nike, and Tissot.

Antoine le Nel, Revolut vice president of growth and partnerships, said: “Revolut is looking at expanding its footprint within the sports industry, and we see this collaboration with the NBA as a fantastic opportunity to blend the realms of finance and sports.”

Dina Ahmad, NBA Europe and Middle East vice president of new business ventures and global partnerships, added: “There is incredible momentum around basketball and the NBA in France, and we look forward to working with Revolut to further engage fans around the game in January and beyond.”

The NBA Paris game will air live on BeIN Sports in France, as well as free-to-air on Canal Plus, and the NBA League Pass streaming service.

According to the league, there have been more NBA players from France than from any other country outside North America, including this year’s number one overall draft pick Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs).
