Private aviation company NetJets has announced an exclusive partnership with UK-based golfing body The R&A as its official private jet provider for the Open Championship.
The multi-year deal allows NetJets to provide its clients with invitations to the Open, starting this year at Royal Troon from July 14 to 21.
NetJets has long-standing ties to golf, and the new partnership enhances its presence in the sport in Europe.
Neil Armit, chief commercial officer at The R&A, said: “NetJets' long-standing support for golf aligns with our own vision of ensuring that the sport continues to thrive now and in the future. We look forward to working with NetJets as we begin a new partnership that will deliver value to players competing in the Open.”
Last month, the R&A launched a new global streaming service, powered by the Endeavor Streaming platform.
The R&A TV platform allows members to watch coverage of the annual Open Championship, alongside the Women’s Open and other R&A events. Members will also be able to “enjoy enhanced viewing features including multi-view and live event replays to experience more golf content than ever before.”
