OlyBet, the online gaming and sports betting brand in the Baltic region, has been unveiled as a partner of golf’s iconic biennial Ryder Cup men’s competition between Team Europe and Team US.

Under the agreement, OlyBet becomes the Ryder Cup’s official betting operator in Europe ahead of this year's edition taking place at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome, Italy, from September 29 to October 1.

The deal expands OlyBet’s presence in golf after the betting firm recently partnered with Europe’s DP World Tour.

Corey Plummer, the chairman and chief executive of Olympic Entertainment Group and OlyBet Group, said: “The Ryder Cup is one of the world’s greatest sporting events.

“We are thrilled about the opportunities that OlyBet will bring to golf and sports fans to engage with the Ryder Cup through OlyBet brands and media and in person at any one of our 150 casinos and 90 sports bars.”

Earlier this month (August), US banking giant Citi was announced as a worldwide partner of the Ryder Cup through 2025.

That deal quickly came after DP World, the global logistics heavyweight, was announced as a worldwide commercial partner of this year’s competition.

Event organizers also announced a consultancy partnership with Roc Nation Sports International, the entertainment and sports management company owned by US rapper Jay-Z, in late June.
