Nascar, the US-based stock car racing series, has brought on board Worldwide Express as its new official logistics partner.
The multi-year deal, announced over the weekend (August 13), entails the full-service logistics firm becoming a full sponsor of the series, with the partnership being made public before the brand’s annual 2022 ‘entitlement race’.

The 'Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation' race took place on Saturday at Richmond Raceway.
The deal marks an expansion of Worldwide Express’ existing relationship with the stock car racing series. Earlier this year, the firm became a primary team sponsor of the Trackhouse Racing and Niece Motorsports outfits.
Worldwide Express is now also Richmond Raceway’s official logistics partner.
Rob Rose, Worldwide Express’ president, said: “We are uniquely suited to help manage the logistical complexity that Nascar and its teams deal with each week to host and compete in world-class races. We look forward to partnering with Nascar to deliver exhilarating race weekends over the coming years."

By GlobalDataLate last week, Nascar announced plans to build a production facility as it looks to expand its live events production operation.
The series has said that construction will start on the 58,000-square-foot facility on August 31, with it to be built on land adjacent to the Nascar Research & Development Center in Concord, North Carolina.
Once completed, it will replace Nascar's current Uptown Charlotte facility as the primary production hub for the series.
