US mortgage lender United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) has announced a multi-year partnership with North American basketball's NBA and women's WNBA.

The agreement makes UWM’s consumer-facing brand Mortgage Matchup the official mortgage partner of the leagues.

The deal, which will involve collaborating with the leagues on marketing and promotional activities, marks the first-ever mortgage partnership for both competitions.

Mortgage Matchup will receive media exposure across the league platforms, including on-court virtual signage during NBA and WNBA national broadcasts, and social and digital platforms.

UWM has served as a partner of NBA team the Detroit Pistons since the 2021-22 NBA season, with its logo prominently featured on their team jerseys.

Meanwhile, US cheese cracker brand Cheez-It has partnered with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.

The multi-year sponsorship will see the Cheez-It logo feature on Fever practice jerseys. The brand also becomes the first official snack of the franchise.

The partnership debuted at the Fever’s first home game of the season yesterday.

Earlier this month, the Fever unveiled Indiana-based US pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company as its jersey patch partner.
