North America’s Major League Soccer has signed a new sponsorship deal with Caterpillar (Cat), the heavy-duty construction equipment, clothing, and footwear firm.
As a part of the multi-year agreement, MLS will collaborate with Caterpillar to integrate Cat products into the soccer ecosystem.
Cat dealers will also have access to exclusive soccer experiences for their operators and customers.
The brand will additionally be involved in fan engagement activities with MLS supporters.
Yvette Morrison, the global director of marketing and brand for Caterpillar, said the sponsorship “provides a perfect opportunity for us to introduce Cat to a broader audience”.
Caterpillar’s other sports sponsorships include a deal with the China Basketball Association and naming rights for the Cat Ladies Golf Tournament in Japan.
