International sports marketing giant IMG has hired Luke Organ as senior vice president of global partnerships for its media business.

In his new position, Organ will be in charge of brand partnership sales for IMG’s range of media assets, such as Sport 24, the in-flight and on-ship entertainment service that it owns. He will also oversee sales covering the agency’s “key media business partners,” such as basketball’s EuroLeague, World Table Tennis, the Professional Games League, and the Global Esports Federation.

His focus will be on finding and utilizing opportunities to “introduce IMG’s extensive range of capabilities and expertise to new rights holders and brands.”

Organ is joining IMG from the Right Formula sports marketing agency, where he most recently served as managing director of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

Before his time at that firm, he worked for the English Premier League soccer club Aston Villa, and the Wasps professional rugby club.

Organ will report to Robbie Henchman, president of global partnerships for IMG and the On Location hospitality firm, and into Chris Guinness, the IMG head of commercial worldwide.

Guinness has held that senior role at the agency since October 2020, while Henchman has been heading up global partnerships since September last year.

Late last month, IMG unveiled Karen Matijak as senior vice president for On Location and IMG’s events division.

Matijak will be responsible for “driving strategic and transformation initiatives” for those businesses and the events they own, produce, and partner with. She will report to Paul Caine and Jon Lavallee, president and chief operations officer at On Location and the IMG event division respectively.

The agency has also recently brought in Ian Moffitt as senior vice president of business development for its studios business.

In the newly created role, he will be responsible for the growth of IMG’s production and studios business in the UK and internationally.
