International parcel courier service FedEx has been announced as the new title sponsor of golf’s Open de France, the oldest national open in mainland Europe.
The event, which is played as part of the DP World Tour international golf series, will take place in 2024 between October 10 and 14 at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France.
FedEx branding will be prominent on the course across the three-day event, which is played as part of the tour’s new Back 9 swing of historic tournaments.
Alongside this, the DP World Tour will collaborate with FedEx to create branded social media content across both sides’ digital channels in both the build-up to the event and during the tournament itself.
This is the first time that FedEx has expanded its golfing sponsorship portfolio to the DP World Tour, with FedEx chief marketing and communications officer Brian Phillips explaining that the Open de France’s proximity to FedEx’s European hub at Charles de Gaulle Airport in the Ile-de-France region informed the decision to sponsor the competition.
The title sponsorship came about as a result of the strategic partnership between the DP World Tour and North America’s elite PGA Tour competition, for which FedEx has been a prominent long-term partner.

Keith Pelley, DP World Tour chief executive, stated: “We’re excited to welcome FedEx to the DP World Tour’s global platform where it can build upon an already extensive golf marketing program in the United States with the PGA Tour […] It will be a perfect platform for FedEx to showcase its global logistics capabilities to the sort of international audience that the DP World Tour attracts.”
“This agreement is further evidence of how our strategic alliance with the PGA Tour continues to enhance the DP World Tour and our members, by providing new commercial opportunities with prestigious brands.”
