European golf’s DP World Tour has announced the renewal of its long-term partnership with golf cart manufacturer Club Car ensuring that the company continues as the tour’s official supplier in the area of “small-wheel, zero-emission electric vehicles,"

Club Car has served as the official supplier of golf carts to the European Tour, currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, since 1999 and will continue to do so throughout the extension, the length of which has not been revealed.

DP World Tour group commercial director Max Hamilton stated: “Club Car has been a trusted partner for over two decades and their products are vital to the smooth operation of our tournaments.

“Their global distribution network and excellent local support service make them the ideal partner for a Tour that plays in 24 countries. We look forward to continuing our working relationship.”

Club Car last extended with the DP World Tour in February 2023.

The tour has already utilized Club Car carts through the opening stretch of its 2024 season, which began in November 2023 and will run through November 2024.

This includes the Open de France, the oldest national open in mainland Europe, which is played annually on the DP World Tour and earlier in February announced that it would be title sponsored by international parcel courier firm FedEx for its 2024 edition.

FedEx branding will be prominent on the course across the three-day event, which will be staged between October 10 and 14 at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France.

The deal was organized through the DP World Tour’s strategic partnership with the Professional Golf Association (PGA) of America body and its PGA Tour series, to which Club Car is also a partner.

Club Car last renewed with the PGA of America in January 2023, providing carts to the tour as well as the iconic Ryder Cup event.

Alongside its role as a supplier to the major golf tours, Club Car is also a title sponsor of the annual Club Car Championship, played on the PGA Tour’s developmental branch, the Korn Ferry Tour.

The event, hosted in 2024 on April 7 in Savannah, Georgia, was first sponsored by Club Car in 2021, having previously been known as the Savannah Golf Championship.
